Mirka Novak, born in the Czech Republic,
is a multi-faceted soulful vocalist, performer, songwriter,
vocal coach, and CEO of a music school in Pilsen.
I am a singer and an experienced vocal coach with over 18 years of practice in the field of voice training. After completing my Master’s degree at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, in Music and Psychology with a focus on education, I founded the vocal school Studio Zpěv Plzeň in 2017. At our school, we regularly organize singing performances for our students. In addition, together with my colleagues Markéta Foukalová and Petra Ernyei, I also teach private lessons at Studio Zpěv Praha.
The foundation of my vocal technique is based on the classical style, which I studied at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, and I continue to educate myself with other specialized teachers. I also incorporate modern international vocal methods such as Danish Complete Vocal Technique, Estill Voice Training, American One Voice, and others. This allows me to use various techniques in lessons suitable for beginners and advanced singers. During the lessons, we focus on intense training, exploring the voice and its qualities, breathing techniques, and their possibilities. All of this is based on optimism and playfulness, which helps bring ease and lightness to your performance. Whether you want to sing loudly by the campfire or prepare for a singing competition or conservatory entrance exam, we will find the right approach for you. You will learn how to work safely with your voice within your vocal range.
