“As a full time, jazz singer songwriter and GRAMMY winning vocalist, pianist, and arranger
I have had the privilege of collaborating with some of the finest musicians in the world.
Among them, Mirka Novak stands out as an exceptional artist whose talent and passion for
music for the long haul was inspiring to me.
I first encountered Mirka’s artistry when I shared the stage with her at a sold-out
performance in one of the Czech Republic’s most prestigious concert halls. Mirka opened
for me that evening, and I had the pleasure of watching her entire set. Her performance
showcased her extraordinary voice, songwriting, nuanced interpretations, and stage
presence. She immediately connected with the audience, leaving a lasting impression.
As the evening progressed, I invited Mirka to join me on stage toward the end of my
concert. Her musicianship and ability to collaborate seamlessly made it clear to me that she
is not only a gifted performer but also a generous artist who thrives in collaborative settings.
